What is Take n Run?
Take n Run is a platform for creating and running photo scavenger hunts. As an organizer, you’ll:
- Upload photos of locations (checkpoints) that players need to find
- Configure how the game works (timing, rules, teams)
- Launch and manage the game in real-time
- Review player photo submissions to verify they found each checkpoint
Players receive a link to join, then use their phones to navigate to checkpoints, take photos, and compete to finish in the best time.
The Setup Process
Creating a game involves seven steps. You can navigate between them using the menu at the top, but we recommend following them in order:
- Welcome (you are here) – Overview and introduction
- Upload – Add your checkpoint photos with location data
- Checkpoints – Configure search areas and instructions for each checkpoint
- Players – Set up how players will join and organize teams
- Options – Configure game rules, timing, and map settings
- Guidance – Customize the instructions players will see
- Create – Review everything and create your game
Tip: Look for the yellow tip boxes throughout the setup process. They contain helpful information about each feature.
